Boulder Contractor Features Whole Home Remodel

Modern Homestead, a leading remodeling contractor, is proud to call Boulder our home. Not only do we love what we do, but we love where we do it.   All us at Modern Homestead take great pride in serving homeowners across our hometown.

There comes a time when many homeowners find their current space does not fit with their needs and preferences. In some cases, people buy an existing house and would like to customize it to their styles, needs, and preferences. In other cases, people outgrow their current home and decide it’s time for a complete update to that home to meet their current lifestyle. Whatever your goals, Modern Homestead can work with you to convert your current space into the home of your dreams with a whole home remodel.

Enjoyable open kitchen

The image on top is part of a recent project where we remodeled our client’s entire home. Let’s take a walk inside to review this featured project. First we introduce the kitchen remodeling portion of the project where this light filled kitchen provides ample cabinet space while still providing a completely open space for the cook to interact with guests. In opening up the kitchen and living space we refinished an existing wooden beam and added complementary wood finishes to the island. These finishes provide a wonderful contrast to the light floors and white cabinets and countertops.

Modern and minimalist details

Walking to the other side of the kitchen allows you to better see the beautiful white custom cabinetry and white quartz countertops project a modern minimalist aesthetic that allows the detailed black trim and the wooden finishes to shine.

Expansive effect in the bathroom

Now we turn our attention to the Bathroom Remodeling portion for the home. By reconfiguring the office and closet space we were able to turn a half bath in the master suite into a full bathroom. The white subway tile and vanity juxtaposed with black fixtures and grey marble floor tile create an expansive effect. We also updated and modernized a small guest bath to match the interior finishes in the master suite and the rest of the home.

Bright and spacious bedrooms

We worked on some other areas such as master bedroom with beautiful new flooring and grey paint providing a sense of expansiveness in the space. We were able to completely modernize the room by updating dated finish elements like textured drywall, doors, windows, and trim.

Before Modern Homestead

We worked to achieve our client’s goals of modernizing the entire aesthetic of the home and creating a more more functional layout with the existing footprint. Here is a look at the dated features of the home before Modern Homestead arrived.

How we work

As with all of our projects, our work began well before the start of construction. After identifying our client’s specific goals for the project, we worked with our architects, engineers, and designers to produce a full design plan. Below are a few excerpts from our plans for this project. Please review our How We Work page to learn more about our simple five-stage design-build process for making your dream home a reality.

Open-concept living space

Achieving our client’s goals of creating an open-concept living space required incorporating several structural elements into the design. The refinished structural beams provide depth to the main living space and highlight the seamless transition from kitchen to dining areas.

Clean and modern look

In this picture you can see how the beautiful glossy grey backsplash tile complements the clean modern look of the cabinets and countertop.

Reconfiguring spaces for you

Modern Homestead completely reconfigured the living, dining and family rooms of the home. We removed walls to open up the space and have a seamless transition throughout the home.
